- As you can see, I enjoy taking photos. Being a graphic artist, I tend to see the world in slices anyway - as if I'm looking at a page, or a screen, or as you see here, a photograph. For this photo album I've decided to crop a lot of my favourite pics into this portrait slices. It's made me think about composition, and what parts of each photo I want to keep. I also chose this horizontal format because, I for one, grow tired of the normal photo galleries where you have to open each and every photo, one after the other. With this you can slowly scroll, taking in each photo, or scroll quickly until something grabs your eyes. You can't click on the photos to get a larger image, and I have purposely not included each image's name - I'll let them stand on their own visual feet. My main camera is a Canon S2 IS - it's a few years old now, but does amazing macro shots. My 'lomo' shots are taken with my iPhone using a Lomo app. If you don't know what Lomo is, here's a snapshot: "Lomography emphasises casual, snapshot photography, using over-saturated colours, off-kilter exposure, blurring, "happy accidents," and alternative film processing. Users are encouraged to take a lighthearted approach to their photography, and use these techniques to document everyday life." .......... 'Happy Accidents' - they're my middle names.
